Video from NOAH mural

Here's a video from a mural I painted in spring '19.  I did not come up with the design for NOAH brand clothing but I did paint it on their flagship store on Kenmare St. in Manhattan.  Or click the link below for a probably better version of the video.

NOAH mural

Someone caught me in the act of finishing up this painting for NOAH on Delancey in the city a few weeks ago.  The design is not mine but it came out nice and was a quick 1 day job.

Bernie Sanders mural

I am happy to have the opportunity to use my skills to paint this mural in support of Bernie Sanders in Williamsburg this past week.  My good friend and talented photographer, Matt Kanbergs, stopped by and took these photos.

Hair Fair sign complete

I just finished painting both sides of this aluminum sign for a hair salon down here in Barbados.  I was thinking "tropical nouveau" and used a few Mucha illustrations for reference.  I am really happy with the outcome and ready to start back up with my own paintings of the island.

finished and hanging

I layed out the sign the "old-school" way with a grid.  Since I designed everything by hand and had no access to a projector I decided to draw out the design.  This was especially easy with the grid and considering I already had two preliminary designs drawn up.

My second design, taking into consideration the actual dimensions of the sign.  I had originally "eye-balled" the dimensions for the first design and I was WAY off.  Always get the dimensions correct.  Since the client was happy with the design I started choosing a color scheme which is pretty close to the colors I ultimately used.

The initial design lay-out, which, like I said, was way off.  But the basic lay-out remained the same.
