THE STUDIO AND MY RECENT WORK

the studio! kind of a mess but whats the point of having a studio if you can't make a mess?

three studies made from the same photograph.  The photograph was taken at a park in Brooklyn looking west over the east river.  I blew up the photo, xeroxed it, and transfered it onto canvas with some hand coloring.  In the image above you can see the scale of these hanging on the wall to the right.  I like to work in multiples and try different techniques on the same image as you can see they are similar but not all the same.

Empire State Building.  A detail of the same image. You can see the hand coloring. I like the "hand-painted photogragh" quality.

painting
This is an oil study of a Franz Hals painting. You can see it hanging on the studio wall in the first image top left.
